An interactive writing course to help students become more confident and effective writers and, as a result, improve their performance on the MEE and MPT portions of the Uniform bar exam. This course helps students develop and strengthen the legal reasoning, critical thinking and essay writing skills necessary to succeed on the bar exam and as attorneys by teaching them the skills needed to (1) analyze fact patterns and differentiate relevant facts from irrelevant facts; (2) identify and articulate legal issues; (3) apply legally relevant facts to applicable rules and principles of law to reach logical conclusions; (4) analyze statutory, case, and administrative materials for applicable principles of law; and (5) communicate effectively in writing. Students enrolled in this course will participate in interactive writing workshops and write and receive written feedback on three MEEs and three MPTs to help them strengthen their analytical and writing skills. Additionally, students will receive three private tutoring sessions.

This course is designed teach students how to: (1) sort detailed factual materials and separate relevant from irrelevant facts; (2) apply the relevant law to the relevant facts in a manner likely to resolve a client’s problem; (3) analyze statutory, case, and administrative materials for applicable principles of law; (4) communicate effectively in writing; and (5) complete a lawyering task within time constraints. Students enrolled in this course will participate in interactive writing workshops and write and receive written feedback on three MPTs to help them strengthen and perfect their analytical and writing skills. Additionally, students will receive three private tutoring sessions.
We offer individualized and small group tutoring for students preparing for the bar exam. In our individualized and small group tutoring sessions, we teach students learning strategies, study skills and exam taking techniques to help them succeed on the bar exam. We also help them identify deficiencies in their learning processes; fill voids and gaps in their substantive knowledge; strengthen exam writing skills; and develop the time management skills essential for success on the bar exam including organization, prioritization, goal setting, planning and stress management. Students also have the option of writing practice bar exam essays and receiving constructive and personalized feedback to help them strengthen and perfect their analytical and writing skills.
This course is designed to help students prepare for success on the MBE portion of the Uniform bar exam by teaching them how to (1) identify the finite legal issue being tested in MBE styled multiple-choice questions and (2) apply the relevant facts to the governing rules of law to reach logical conclusions and select the correct answers. Students will attend seven one-hour workshops where they will complete timed MBE styled multiple choice questions followed by a live review with an instructor. Students will be taught strategies and techniques for analyzing MBE styled multiple choice questions while simultaneously reviewing some of the frequently tested rules on the MBE portion of the Uniform bar exam.
